Mark J. Braun

Provost and Dean of the College

Mark J. Braun is Provost and Dean of the College of Gustavus Adolphus College, where he previously served as associate dean for eight years, and as department chair in communication studies for seven years. From 2007 to 2011, Braun was Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at Augustana College (SD).  He served on the board of directors for The Collaboration for the Advancement of College Teaching and Learning, and for his national disciplinary group, the Broadcast Education Association. In 2014 he received the annual Chief Academic Officer Award from the Council of Independent Colleges.
